Goodmans Loudspeakers, in bookshelf style cabinet.
2 way.
DIN20-8 Bass Drivers from what I can find, they match with Google results.
Looks like the drivers are used in other Goodmans models sush as Minister & Havant.
Both bass snd tweeter measure 8 ohms give take. 0.2- 0.5.
Goodmans square mount Tweeters used in some B&W.
Cabinets badged J. R Edwards on back and “EDWARDUS” on front grill badge.
From March 1975 one cabinet has “serviced 28/06/1976” written in permanent pen under the grill!
About 15-20 Watts i would say.
Tidy condition but do have the odd knock and veneer is lifting, grill fabric (looks more like old jumper material) has gone a bit saggy but no holes.
Both work fine, rear terminal sockets need a good clean up, not rusty but oxidised.
I’ve replaced the tweeter crossover capacitors as one of the original “Elcap” wasn’t allowing Tweeter to work well, i didn’t have any 2uF so i used 2 x WIMA brand 1uF metallized Polyproplene film capacitors in parallel to give 2uF so they sound nice and bright.
Can strip the drivers and cross overs out and send them if you don’t want the cabinet but would be a shame to bin the cabinets as they are well built.
