Legendary Vintage 1980’s Monster Yamaha PC5002M Power amplifier.
Only 1 for sale the other one in photos needs repair.
Full working order but the VU meters are temperamental some times they work some times they dont. Usually they dont work for the first 30 minutes then they work fine after that.
But the VU meters aint that important 90% of amps dont have them.
500 watts per channel or 1,500 watts in Mono. Yes you read that right, insane amount of power.
This is the legendary 1980’s vintage amplifier, top of the range Yamaha it was made for music studio’s to go along with the Yamaha 1000 M studio monitor speakers or the smaller NS-10’s.
If you thought the Yamaha PC2002M, PC4002M, P2201 etc was insanely powerful and produced the nicest sound well this is the big daddy of all of them this is the top of the range and best sounding one, on a completely different level.
It has 2 separate power switch buttons at the front and 2 separate power leads as far as I am aware it is basically 2 mono amps in one case.
I have shown in photos next to a Pioneer Spec 1 pre amplifier to show the scale of size of this, it is a huge!
You’ll have to spend upward of 20,000 on a new power amplifier to sound this good, in fact most people say this is better than Mcintosh.
If you dont know how legendary this amplifier is put it in Google – Yamaha PC5002M – You will see on audiophile forums people going nuts.
This is insanely rare because it cost 5,000 in 1980’s you’d be lucky to see another one come up on ebay again in the next 5 years.
5,000 in 1983 is the equivalent of 18,000 in 2020 !
I think this is the professional version of the Yamaha M101 which was made for home audio.
Weighs a  huge 61KG
This is collection from Leciester or I can get a van guy to deliver in UK for 60, more if you are in Scotland or Ireland.
