An aluminium front panel is used to effectively shield sensitive low-level circuitry from external noise and electronic radiation generated by air conditioning, fluorescent lighting and video display (CRT, LCD, and Plasma). This ensures that the Yamaha CRX-M170 product provides optimum sonic performance in the widest range of installation environments. Rotary encoder volume control knob is also aluminium.
