One of my favourite vintage speakers, the Wharfedale Dovedale 3. These speakers produce a fantastic sound with deep tight bass thanks to the use of a 12″ rigid paper cone woofer. The 5″ mid is in its own enclosure within the cabinet, and combined with the famous purple tweeter, the sound is articulate and detailed. The mid range and treble can be adjusted to taste via two three way switches on the rear. They are quite sensitive speakers and don’t need much amplification to be driven, therefore working well with a wide range of amplifiers.
The drivers and crossovers are all in perfect working
I used to refinish vintage speakers for a living, so you can rest assured that this pair is now in tip top condition!
Due to the size and weight of these (19.5 kg per speaker!), they are for collection only. Full demonstration can be had setup in my system upon collection.
I do this as it is my passion. I have priced fairly, close offers will be considered.
