SONY ST-242L Tuner – FM / MW / LW – Vintage 70s / 80s Hifi
Owned by me from new – I bought this 3 band Sony stereo tuner as part of my first ‘proper hifi’. It was made in Japan – like much of the hifi in those days. Included in the sale are:Sony ST 242L tuner in its original boxOwners manual / user guideOriginal FM ribbon aerialAfter serving me well for a few years, it has lived in its original box since I started on the hifi upgrade trail. It is in generally very good condition:very good cosmetic conditionone small dent in top panel minor marks on rear edge of top panelsee photos to see the aboveFunctionally all three wavebands work (FM/MW/LW) – an aerial (as always) is required for good stereo reception on FM, there is also a built in AM aerial. All lights and tuning indicators are operating as shown in the photos. The FM presets can no longer be re-tuned – but note they can still be used with their current settings – manual tuning works fine. From a smoke and pet free home.Collection in person preferred – local delivery is also possible.
