Vintage Bush Arena Hifi TA2800 Receiver Tuner Amp Project.
This is stunning and unusual looking receiver from the Rank organisation, it was made in Denmark and is probably from the late 1960s.
It lights up and it’s got the standard FM hiss but it needs an aerial to get any reception.
It’s main problem is its far louder on the right channel than the left, I suspect a dry solder joint but it could be a failing component, I have not investigated it any further.
It has inputs for headphones, two sets of speakers, two aerials, a tape deck and a turntable. I believe it’s 15 watts per channel but you may want to check that and do a bit more research online, the service manual is available for free online.
It’s very cool and has a hint of Bang and Olufson about it, you have to wonder what with it being made in Denmark.
It has a bank of six presets on the right hand side which is a nice touch.
It’s a lovely bit of vintage kit and wider than standard hifi separates, it’s also pretty heavy. It will be well packed and sent with parcelforce. The speakers it’s sitting on are not included.
