Condition: Good49.99Vintage 1971 National Panasonic Stereo Cassette Deck RS-256USFULL DESCRIPTIONHere we have a working Vintage 1971 table top National Panasonic Stereo Cassette Deck RS-256US. The play back is good and smooth. The unit does fast forward and rewind but this does get a little sluggish towards the beginning or end of the tape depending on the function. I would suspect the belts are reaching the end of their life. The tape counter does work and the unit is complete. It does have an old fashioned 2 pin power plug, you may wish to replace with a modern equivalent.The VU meters on the recording levels work well. I am unsure if these should be lit. They are not.The end indicator light does work.Cosmetically the unit is nice, there are some signs of age related wear.There is a couple of lights dents and light scratches to the trim.This has a large geadphone jack and a left and right microphone input. On the rear of the unit we have a 5 PIN port. 2x aux input phono jack and 2x phono line out jacks.
