Absolutely legendary speakers
Ultra Rare Legendary B&W Vintage DM2 V. 1 “Transmission-Line” Speakers
Perfect Working Condition! All drivers working perfectly.
Excellent pair of hard-to-find classic circa-1968 Bower & Wilkins (B&W) DM2 V.1 Monitor speakers. The general online consensus is that the V.1 is the best-built and best-sounding of the various DM2 versions.
B&W are a UK company, now in existence for over 50 years, that are known for producing high-quality, innovative electronics. The sound of these speakers has the typical British warmth with the addition of excellent deep bass. The key to the excellent bass is the B&W-designed transmission line type enclosure B&W describe as utilizing rear damping of the lower bass which results in extended bass.
There are a number of DM2 V.1 configurations using different supertweeters. This pair, are serial number 1453, the first configuration, which uses a 150mm DW200 Bextrene mid-bass, a Celestion HF1300 upper-midrange/tweeter and a Peerless 25mm silk-dome tweeter operating as a supertweeter.

As you can see in one of the photos, the tweeter appears to have a slightly furry appearance. I am sure you can clean this off but I am unsure how to do it so will leave it to someone who knows more than me!
