This is an external tube output stage which I have built from scratch, this is not a preamplifier. There is one input connection and one output at the back and this unit would site between your cd player and amplifier. There are two additional RCA connectors which I have added to fill in the holes of the chassis. The volume control is just for show and held in place using plastic. The on/off button works to switch it on.
If you have a good hifi and are looking to upgrade the sound to a better “hifi” sound then this is NOT for you. If you are already using tubes, then again this is not for you. If however if you are looking to smooth out the sound of your system or are looking to delve into the world of tubes, then this product is very ideal. Features include a 50 VA Vigotronix transformer, detachable circuit board, and triple shielded (from emi/rfi) input and output wires. The unit has been used for around 300 hours (mostly to burn in the capacitors) therefore is still fairly new. It has been fitted with premium quality audio parts as listed below;

You can go to the “Humblehomemadehifi” website and click on “caps test” to learn about the Jupiter beeswax capacitors which scored 11.5 and were described as having a “fleshy treble and rich midrange.”
Purchase includes nine fast blow fuses rated at 0.35 for the IEC inlet.
