A stunning and rare Transcriptors Skeleton Turntable

IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ THE TERMS AND CONDTIONS OF SALE AT THE END OF THE LISTING DESCRIPTION IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO COLLECT.This beautiful Skeleton Turntable has been in my ownership, but little used, for over 12 years, I purchased it from the original owner. I have decided that I should try to rationalise my Turntable collection and have decided to offer this highly sought after Transcriptors for sale.
I have checked and set as necessary all adjustments and serviced the Turntable as follows: Cleaned and re-oiled the Main Bearing and oiled the Motor.
The Skeleton will be supplied with a brand new genuine Transcriptors Drive Belt.
All the suspended / sprung parts work as they should with excellent springing that maintain the sprung and suspended components at the right height and in a level plain
This Skeleton is lovely – cosmetically and mechanically. Please study the comprehensive range of photographs. The Turntable runs smoothly, is quick starting, speed stable and quiet with a super free running bearing and motor, it starts instantly and immediately settles down to a stable speed. Speed changes (33 rpm & 45 rpm) are achieved by lifting or pressing down the Speed Change Knob, these speed changes are smooth and absolutely immediate, a testimony to the perfect set up and that everything is in correct adjustment.
Operates on 220-240 Volts @ 50 Hz only therefore not suitable for the USA or any other country that uses a 110-120v or 60hz supply unless you have the necessary converter/interface.

Terms & Condition of Shipping: My preferred option is collection. However as I offer worldwide shipping this is obviously not then possible. Please read the following and ensure you understand: The Base and Rear Panel are acrylic. However the two side Panels, the front Panel and Lid are made of toughened glass. The Lid and glass Panels will be removed (the panels just slide in) and packed as safely as possible within the very substantial delivery box. It is not possible to obtain insurance for the glass items, therefore in the unlikely event of any of the glass Panels getting broken I will not take responsibility. These panels are made of inexpensive 3mm flat toughened glass with polished edges and are readily ordered and supplied through any quality glazing company – it would be up to the buyer to source locally and pay for their own glass. If you do not think this is a reasonable condition of sale please do not buy my turntable.
For safety, if sent by courier – the Turntable would be partially dismantled and will require some reconstruction, I will provide some tips on this, how to fit the lid and hinges and the tonearm.
