This is a completely authentic Thorens part. The item has not been spray painted or changed in any way. This Thorens TD 125 mkii baseplate is the version with the built in bearing (if you have the earlier model 125 this baseplate is incompatible). When this item arrives there will be no oil in the bearing, it will have been emptied for shipping, therefore please lubricate the bearing before powering up your turntable.
