Plays records well at 33RPM and 45RPM. Has got some sort of sensor but I’m not sure how this works. If you press buttons, it starts and stops, and lifts the arm and puts it down too. Lifts at the end of the run-out groove.
Please be aware there’s a locking mechanism to lock the arm/stylus
Comes with a conical stylus of unknown age or history, and these can be replaced with equal or superior for about 10 if you look around. T4P is the generic type, with the actual model needed on the arm. Please look and do your research!
An elliptical stylus will sound better too. These are available, I haven’t bought one tho!
Made in the 80s this comes from an era when even average turntables were pretty good. I’ve compared it to my Rega Planar 3 and it does sound pretty good! Stero separation and W&F are good. Probably could do with a new drive belt before the current one turns to black goop.
240V mains figure-8 cable, will be supplied. I’ll try to find RCA phono cables too. This is a MM moving magnet cardridge, and is NOT amplified, so you will need an amplifier or a pre-amplifier to handle the low-level signals before you can listen.
