Offered for sale is this excellent integrated MOSFET amplifer by Technics, the SU-A800.
This example is in A1 condition electronically and it performs brilliantly. However, despite being clean it does suffer from minor cosmetic imperfections and there is a small plastic chip to the left hand cheek. This will of course not be visible when it is in a rack and in use.
I have tested this extensively and I am particularly impressed with the phono section which I have used with an Ortofon MC cartridge. This is usually the sort of feature that is particular only to decent phono pre-amps and high end kit.
It has plenty of power, driving 4ohm speakers to window rattling volume with ease, plenty of features and a very subtle and understated aesthetic with most of the controls being hidden behind the metal flap to the front of the machine. These include tone controls, tone control bypass, headphone socket, tape monitor, etc..
The sound produced by this amp when coupled with some quality speakers is excellent. If you havent heard a MOSFET amplifier before they are fantastic, its what I use in my main system and many describe the warm sound as being valve like for solid state equipment.
If youre reading this youll know this kit is highly regarded and will move fast so dont delay to avoid disappointment.
