This is a fully-working Technics SL-MC6. Absolutely tremendous CD player – it has a little mechanism to help load & unload discs into specific slots – pictured in the 3rd and 4th photos. Round the back we’ve got a real minimal collection of ports – power in and RCA out only. The unit supports a remote, but I got it from a fool who’d lost their remote. So I’m afraid you’ll have to use it as I have or find a remote on the internet somewhere (or maybe try fuzzing it with a universal remote?)
It’s 110+1 because the 110 are all numbered and can be played on shuffle, etc. and the final slot is the furthest left and has a dedicated button (Single) to play from it. I think the idea is that you use that for quickly putting something in and playing it – but I basically just ignored it since I never filled the entire 110 CD selection anyway.
It supports CD Text and you can edit the artist/album title that it keeps in its database – I think it even has a search function using the number buttons to type. I haven’t got the manual and can’t remember entirely how it works – but you can find the manual as a PDF with a quick google search 🙂
I’m selling it cause I’m downsizing a bit. I don’t listen to CDs all that much anymore – I think I’ll get a 5-or-so changer. Hopefully with a remote!
