Technics SL-J1 Belt Drive Linear Tracking Turntable + Sony 5 Disc Multi CD Player
Cash on collection only, at Farnham in Surrey GU10. I can do weekdays or weekends but only day time, not evenings.
This Technics SL-J1 turntable is in very good condition. The lid has some scratch marks but no cracks. The only issue I can see is the central 45 adapter does not pop up like it should.
It plays superbly, small in size but real hifi sound quality. I have checked the RPM with a stroboscope, both 33 and 45 speeds are correct. It had a new LT belt and a new drive belt (genuine Panasonic) not long ago. It has an original Technics T4P cartridge and a recent new Dreher & Kauf stylus.
I have owned some of the other Technics LT decks like the direct drive SL-DL1 and SL-QL1 but this belt drive SL-J1 sounds as good if not slightly better than they did. As with most hifi turntables it needs to be used with an amp that has a MM phono input.
The Sony 5 Disc Multi CD player is fully working. Good condition, a few scratch marks on top. With original remote. Very good sound quality. It reads discs very quickly and there are no jumps or skips when playing.
I can show both working through an amp (not included) when collected.
