Technics SL-BD22D Record Player Turntable For Repair Or Parts as not currently working correctly. It was given to me by a colleague and the item itself, as you can see from the pictures, has been very well looked after and even has the original box and packaging which is rare. I replaced the belt which looked a little worn and, when I plugged it in, everything works as it should. The platter spins ok, all the switches work and lights come on. But, it currently doesnt play a record all the way through. The arm gets to around half-way across the record and then returns to the rest without playing the remainder of the record. I looked at the forums and the fault lies apparently with the auto-return mechanism which is shown in picture 4. Unfortunately, fitting the belt is about the limit of my technical knowledge and when the record was playing, the player produced a really nice sound and I thought it would be best to sell it on to someone who knows what they are doing as it deserves better than being hacked away at by me. All cables and new belt are included and if you can disable/fix the problem, you will get yourself a cracking machine. Happy bidding!
