Tascam 112 MKIII Cassette Deck. This deck is used but totally minted!
This tape deck was installed in a high end hi tech institution but saw absolutely no use as it was replaced soon after by Mini Disc which in turn was replaced by MP3. So it sat in its cupboard for 15 years until being rescued. It would not play as it has a bad cog in the drive mechanism which has become brittle with age. I have now replaced this cog and tested the deck and it is now fully functional. The cog was sourced from a seller in Germany and I will include the receipt with the deck.This unit has both Phono RCA and XLR connections. It is rack mountable and retains its original feet as it was never racked but instead placed on a shelf.Lovely VU meters and turned aluminium knobs. No wear on the heads. Immaculate condition. It is literally like new.The guys at the venue think it has played probably only a couple of tapes in its life time. I just recorded a Dave Brubeck CD and the cassette sounds just fine.Dolby B and C, 3 heads, Pitch, Mic inputs as well as XLR, headphone socket, output level.Dispatched by courier in double packed box.
