Classic pair of 3 way Tannoy DC 2000’s
I used to have a pair myself when they 1st came out!, the first time tannoy used DMT as i recall? they are slightly better bi wired or pass the stripped speaker cable all the way through both cable posts if using a single pair. my listening room was small so i preferred them slightly tilted back, easy to experiment by placing stacked blu tacked coins under the front spikes, if it works for you then you could do the tilt by setting the spikes to that level.
No offers on these please- if they don’t sell i will sell them (for more!) as parts – 6 component drive units and the crossovers and connector plates., so if you need those watch this space , certainly the shipping will be cheaper! i also remember hearing these drive units many years ago that had been fitted into a custom cabinet with over twice the volume, that was a bit special in a large room.
Condition as pictured, definitely used but still perfectly presentable despite the wear/marks, drive units are perfect, worst i can see is the top rear of one the speakers,
One cabinet had a knock while the previous owner was moving them and he stuck down the lifting vinyl wrap with tape as you can see (a better option would be to set it with glue )
One of the grill badges fell apart due to it being brittle , probably due to sunlight and age (i have some of the fractured bits, literally crumbled and not fixable, possibly 3d printable if you know someone) The cabinet badges are both fine.
Much nicer looking without the grill imo.
collection really is the best option for these, as they are surprisingly heavy at 40 Kg for compact floorstanders (and thats without packing ! ) due in part to the internal panel to panel cross bracing . these really are a solid box.
Original bottom plinth has been fitted on these which take the included floor spike’s.

I would rather not pack these and could deliver depending on distance, or it would be a pain to pack and would take time (no original boxes) to send them as 2 parcels with Parcelforce – cost 28 for the UK mainland.
