SUPERB “EKCO RP411” VINTAGE RECORD PLAYER “IN RUBY RED” – PERFECT WORKING ORDER

This is a superb maroon / ruby red & cream “EKCO RP411” portable record player from 1961, offered in full working order and in very good condition overall.
It has a push pull ECL86 valve amplifier, with rotary controls for VOLUME, TREBLE & BASS. The amplifier has had new components fitted as required to ensure long term reliability. It has what I would call a decent “beefy” sound output. Quite a lot of “go” in it for a record player of this early period.
It has a four speed fully automatic GARRARD AUTOSLIM turntable (that can also be operated manually). It plays 16, 33, 45 and 78 rpm and up to six records can be stacked for auto-change. All fully working complete with a new stereo cartridge and stylus.
Cosmetically, I have cleaned this and it looks really nice in this maroon and cream colour scheme. It’s a well built solid unit for sure. The perfectionist should note minor marks and edge wear to the cabinet though on the whole it looks very clean indeed. I’ve resprayed the catches etc to improve their appearance and I am sure the new owner will be pleased with their choice. Something a little different, and in my opinion better, than the many various Dansette models that flood the market!
