Fully working with two Sony Cartridges in Sony Headshells, both have had new stylus’ fitted with the XL-15 having an upgraded eliptical.
This turntable operates perfectly and is silent in operation. It is in very good condition apart from the lid which suffered cracking at the back when it was sent to me. I will ensure it is properly packed for transport. The lid operates perfectly and the cracks could be covered over with some laminate or you could have a new lid made.
Soundwise it is very very good and compares favourably with a Linn Sondeck. There is loads of information on this desk on the internet – this series of decks are built like tanks and was Sonys way of showing the world that it could make decks to rival the best.
