This beefy kit from Sony is technically an AV receiver, but as it only has Dolby Digital and DTS processing, and no HDMI connections, forget that and consider it a fine analog stereo amp with good programmable FM stereo tuner.It puts out a decent 80 watts per channel and has plenty of features, including digital input/DAC surround sound and sub-out options of course, if stereo isn’t enough for you.Comes with the original remote control for ease of use and setup.I will also include a FREE matching Sony DVD/CD player (works OK but a bit clunky) and connecting cable, plus a 3.5mm jack to RCA phono cable for plugging in a laptop/phone/ipod.For thirty quid, what’s not to like?
