SME Compatible Oversized Tonearm Mounting Plate
A steel mounting plate to allow typically older style Japanese turntables with fixed tonearms to be converted to allow installation of an SME type tonearm.
The plate is designed to span the hole left by the removal of the usually larger Japanese tonearm base. Attachment to plinth is by screw or bolt/nut through the 4 outer most mounting holes using the plate as a template for position marking.
A good degree of technical knowledge is required to correctly remove any tonearm and fit this base plate to accommodate an SME type one.
The reduced corner is the reference point used to align the corner of the plate parallel to the rear face of the plinth positioning min. 5mm back from the edge to allow dust cover closure clearance.
Finished in stove effect satin black paint.
Approx. dimensions:- 135mm x 115mm x 2mm SME mounting hole centralized on the piece to take standard SME3009 style slide base.
