Sharp SG450E Music Centre With Original CP450E Speakers. Circa 1970/80s.
This was Sharps top of the range music centre in the late 70s early 80s and cost an absolute fortune back then.
The music centre has a great sound quality but due to moving house I am selling some of my vintage items as I don’t have space for them anymore.
The turntable is fully working and has a new belt and stylus that has about 10 hours use, it sounds good enough now but in 30-40 hours when it is properly run in it will sound fantastic.
The cassette deck is fully working apart from the sound only coming through one speaker, pressing the MONO button brings the sound through both speakers, I’m told this is due to a rec/play slider switch on the PCB needing cleaning and is an easy fix, it’s never bothered me enough to take a working unit apart so I just press the MONO button, the APSS, Dolby, counter, lights etc all work as they should.
The radio is fully working all of the presets hold stations and the manual tuning VU meters etc all work as they should, the radio comes supplied with an FM aerial cable.
There is a large box of spare parts included that I purchased ‘just in case’ that includes pretty much everything needed to keep the music centre working for many years to come.
Due to the size nature and weight of the item this is a collection only listing, as with all vintage electronic equipment there are no warranties or returns but the buyer is welcome to bring their own vinyl or cassettes to test the unit or they can use mine.
