British-made good quality loudspeakers from Ruarkfeaturing 130mm midrange/bass drivers and 25mm soft dome tweeters. Eachspeaker has four binding posts so they can be bi-wired. Or, you can put a DIY wirelink between the terminals and wire them normally. Overall the condition is good, but I believe in full disclosure so I will highlight any faults eventhough all are minor in my opinion.
The speakers have some light surface scratches tothe tops (see close-up photo) and a tiny chip and scratch to one side (seeclose-up photo) a good furniture wax polish would probably cover most ofthese. There is a small hole to the speaker fabric near the top corner (seeclose-up photo). At some point the grille fabric has been replaced and stapledrather than glued (see photo) the staples cannot be seen when the grilles arein postion. One of the drive units rubber surround has a tiny triangularpuncture (see close-up photo) which I have repaired with a little PVC glue; itis not noticeable unless you look for it and it has no effect on sound quality.Now here is where we get to something that affects about 90% of all speakers a small child has prodded its fingers into the tweeter dust covers. With careand patience I have restored the dust covers to their dome position (seephotos) so, in this instance, we can forgive the little blighters. There is somesun-tanning to the front of the speakers making the bottom inch or so a littledarker (see photo) but this can only be seen if you listen without the grillesand even then its no biggie.

Each speaker measures 350mm high x 190mm wide x260mm deep and weighs about 5 kgs. They share the same serial number whichmeans they are a matched pair and that is a good thing.
