Don’t be mistaken by its slender appearance; the Rotel RCD-971 boasts quality components throughout and as is weighty to carry. The build quality of this machine is something to behold. It’s got that solid feel which only the high end players deliver.
You’d find yourself spending big money to top the sound quality offered here. Expect a whole new level of clarity, vitality and excellent reproduction throughout your listening experience. I was most impressed by the articulation of bass.
Cosmetically the CD player has been very well looked after with only a few light hairlines on the top surface. The tray pushes and pulls as it would when new. Equally, the buttons all feel tight and nice to the touch. As with all my audio listings, this has also undergone some internal cleaning – not that it really needed it!
This will be supplied with its original remote control and batteries. All can be shown working prior to sale.
All round, a phenomenal example of this hard to find CD player which will provide many years of enjoyment for the next owner.
This is a collection only listing. I am based in Crofton Park, London SE4. My home is conveniently close to the station, literally a minute’s walk away from the platforms! The Thameslink route is easily accessible from a number of Central London stations, including Farringdon and Victoria. Overground users can take walk from Honor Oak Park. I’d be more than happy to meet you at either station if need be. There is also ample parking space for car drivers.
