Lovely pair of original classic Celestion Ditton 44 speakers, circa 1972, all original, early ROLA bass units, sound superb – excellent working order and general condition.
These are the original Rola-Celestion 44 speakers, lovely warm, detailed and tuneful sound. Some of the bass unit doping material has oxidised over time, but all the units work perfectly and work perfectly. Teak cabinates are excellent for their age.
They are not mint/perfect: one grill has a small 4cm tear [easily repairable] and the fabric has stretched a little; one rear corner has been bumped; some loss of doping material on the bass units; and a few scratches and water-marks to the veneer – please look carefully at the pictures.
I won’t post these – they are big 76cm (30″) x 37cm (14″) x 25cm (10″) [Ht/W/D] and heavy – 21kg each. I’m not sure these 47yr olds would survive the postal journey.
