Selling my original B215. I have two of these and just had my DR-1 come back from B&W. 

 

As much as I love this B215, I can’t really justify having two. 

 

It’s literally built like a tank. Having said that it has a fault. When you manually dial in the recording level, you get no signal at -18dB and it distorts at -6dB. Dialling in any other level is perfect.

 

The display bulbs and pinch rollers were replaced about 5yrs ago.   

 

It still sound amazing. Made a recording on a TDK SA in TYPE II @120s with Dolby C and apart from a the slight and I mean slight tape hiss, it was near enough indistinguishable from the source.

 

Plus recordings made on this play well on other decks. Something even the CR-7 I used to own couldn’t do.

 

I’ll add more pics once I’ve disconnected it from the rest of my system.
