Two pairs (4 pieces) of 6 inch high quality foam special speaker surrounds – these can replace deteriorated foam surrounds of your Beovox RL140 woofers so your woofers will work just fine for many more (15-20) years. A bottle of glue (18 cc) is included too. The third picture shows a woofer after repair using our parts.
Here’s the part to fix the rotten surrounds! Please note we offer this surround in a rubber version as well, please contact us if interested.
Replacing a surround is not that hard – it’s a job that needs your full attention but then everything will work out just fine. If you are in doubt, or have any questions – don’t be afraid to ask. I have refoamed many speakers myself and will be glad to help you. Any question about refoaming can be asked. We will provide you with a FAQ, refoam manuals, our video instruction and many more upon request, or just use google and search for ‘Speakerrepairshop’ and ‘Netherlands’. eBay doesn’t allow us to put the link here.
I will pack the surrounds very well so they will reach you just fine. Beside these surrounds I also have rubber versions and I have other sizes available. Check my Ebay shop or contact me.
Directions for using the glue we provide:
General
Special water-based, permanent-flexible adhesive for bonding foam surrounds on speakercone and frame. This bottle contains 18 cc glue.
One bottle is enough adhesive for:
– 2 twelve-inch surrounds, or
– 4 eight inch surrounds, or
– 8 four inch surrounds
Storage
This is a water based adhesive. Keep the adhesive in a frost-free room.
Processing
Surface must be flat, dry, and free dust and grease. Apply the glue with brush or roller. The Elastic adhesive dries relatively quickly. If thicker layers are applied, or the adhesive is used with less porous materials , the drying time will be significantly longer. The glue is dry when the color is transparent and the original white is gone. The adhesive can be applied both single- and double-sided. For a higher final strength and longer drying / processing time we recommend to apply the glue double sided. Remove wet glue immediately with a wet cloth, dried adhesive residue can be removed mechanically. Clean tools immediately after use with water.
