F2 – TITANIUM Heavyweight counterweight for the Rega & the Origin Live tonearms is made from high-grade titanium and is CNC precision milled. The hole is offset so as to drop the center point of gravity of the counterweight. The weight is 115grm. vs. Rega’s stock counterweight which weighs 100grm. The main feature of the F2 – TITANIUM Heavyweight counterweight is that it is made of titanium. Titanium when compared with stainless steel possesses many times less the ringing-factor. As every thing is in motion, it is therefore energized and as such, the tonearm benefits significantly from the titaniums very low ring-factor. The second feature of the F2 – TITANIUM Heavyweight counterweight is the way in which the end stub hole is cut. The hole has three thin contact rails on which it rides on the arms counterweight stub with a snug fit. This feature significantly reduces the counterweights contact with the end stub, improving the arm’s performance and at the same time, sets it apart from other products available on the market. The counterweight is secured by a nylon tipped machined setscrew and as such will not mark the end stud.
