Rega Planar 2 turntable mounted in wooden base with RB200 Arm Shure encore cartridge.Launched in 1977 the first glass platter Planar 2 came with an Acos-derived S-shaped tonearm and a wood surround to its satin-black plinth, In 1984 the wood was discarded this 1980’s version is now a rare item.The deck has in the last month had it’s drive and motor suspension belts replaced, an upgrade ceramic bearing (replacing the original steel bearing), a new Rega R200 armrest clip, new stylus and a new Bias belt fitted. The belts had all deteriorated due to there age and lack of use. The deck is now in a very good condition, sounds and plays well.As this item is quite delicate collection in person would be preferred and advised, thank you.
