It is pretty much unused the previous owner bought it as a back up but it never came out of the box, I bought it to see how it fits in with my system/preferences but decided not to keep it, I like my existing set up.
So for all purposes it is brand new boxed with original warranty card, instruction sheet, packing and box!
As you can see no scratches marks and even the plug comes with the original cardboard protector. Ampbus connector never been used and again comes in the original packaging.
Powers up and plays and sounds as it should, 3 dimensional sound open sound stage (as per the review). Powering down it clicks on both channels (as it should) but one channel does create a noise a few seconds later as it dissipates – this does not affect the amplifier in use. This may be possibly because it just hasn’t been used I am just providing full and complete disclosure.
I believe Quad service there amplifiers for a very reasonable circa 100 (you will need to check)

Also I now take video of all items sold through ebay to show they are fully operational and as described to prevent unscrupulous buyers trying it, damaging it and returning it “not as described”, unfortunately and sadly this happens( ebayer recently bought a pair of speakers damaged a woofer then returned them on the basis they were not as described !) As you will see from my ebay rating I have 100% both as buyer and seller which has been earned over years.
It is expensive and heavy item (12kg) and such will be insured accordingly.
So based on all the above returns are not accepted.
