Pioneer VSX-1131 7.2, Wi-Fi, Dolby Atmos, HDMI x8. Spares or repair. Condition is For parts or not working.
Hi. I have for sale a two year old Pioneer surround amp. Caters for all the latest surround sound formats and sounded superb in my atmos set up. In immaculate condition and includes all accessories. Now the bad part. I updated the firmware to the latest release, this seemed to complete ok. Great I thought. I then went to use the system set up and it wouldn’t load, tried bluetooth, NET and USB. All said now initialising and that’s it. Bugger I thought. I then contacted Pioneer who suggested updating the firmware via USB. (internet updates not available as it wont connect to the internet)Tried this to now avail. Kept saying error 0-81. So on to contacting Pioneers authorised service centre near me who quoted me 52 to send it, diagnose it and repair. (plus cost of parts are needed).
Now am not saying this is gospel, as I didnt pursue this line of repair. You may get charged less or more. I am just using that as an example of what it might cost to repair. So if your in the market for a great surround amp and have the know how or means to fix it. Grab yourself a bargain! Happy to answer any questions.
