PIONEER VSA-AX10i SLIGHT ISSUE. Condition is used with slight issue please read text. COLLECTION ONLY.
For Sale a Pristine Pioneer VSA-AX10i-S, complete with fully functioning LCD touch Screen Remote Control, Calibration Microphone But no Box or Packaging.When used in the normal way ie as a conventional AV amp the Surround Right channel doesn’t work, doing some research suggests its one of the DSP boardsplaying up.
But here’s the thing, when used with a player that has an on board multi channel decoder via the AX10’s Multi Channel input it functions perfectly on all 7 ChannelsSo I grabbed an Outlaw Audio Model 975 AV Pre amp from a member here and connected it up and it works flawlessly as a power amp, also if you feed a conventional2 channel feed to the AX10’s analogue inputs again it works perfectly in 2 channel mode as well.
Now there are several Blu-ray players that can function as a pre amp as well, I’ve got an OPPO 105 to which I connected my SKY-Q and Panny UB900’s digital out put tooand again it all worked perfectly.
If you own an older less powerful A/V Amp/receiver that has a full 5/7.1 analogue output you could get a great increase in performance.The AX10’s set menu helps here too, you’ve got a direct multi channel input that bypasses all the level, delay and Bass Managementso it basically functions as a power amp, and it always remembers that input selection and the last volume setting as well.
The Amp is physically unmarked, same for the remote and Instruction manual.
It will be for collection only as I have no box and this amp weighs nearly 30kgs.
