The monitor speaker features excellent sound quality, with atight bass response. The rugged case extends reliability and includes a well designed electronic internalamplifier and crossover network which feeds the bass and tweeter driver. EqualisationFor professional Studio Mixing some EQ tweaking is usefulto set up your sound for your room or studio. I played my favourite tracks with a flat EQ via my mixer and set up bothspeakers with the HF control at 0dB (as the speaker was designed) to startwith. For most room set-ups this is the best response. EQ SetupIf your studio/room gives a slightly low HF response I wouldput in the 1dB Treble boost. If the bass or mid seems a fraction low on your chosentrack, then I would drop the HF control to 1dB. For Maximum bass response in relation to High Frequency content,set to the 2dB point. Now anything you mix on the desk you can apply just the rightamount of EQ to on the desk. Veryuseful when you want to record the right amount of EQ!
