I’m selling a Pioneer PL 112D stereo turntable deck with arm and cartridge. It is in excellent condition.
The plinth has been refurbished with a real American walnut-wood veneer finish. All stickers to the rear have been faithfully copied from the original.
The Pioneer logo to the front is original. The mechanics have been cleaned and oiled, where necessary, but the sad news is that, when powered, the belt spindle refuses to spin.
Before servicing it was fine and I checked the speeds with the correct gear and the platter revolved accurately. After refurbishment, unfortunately, it won’t play ball.
If I push the platter it revolves very smoothly and it takes an age to come to a standstill.
There is some rub wear below the arm elevation panel and a slight touch at the top of the speed panel [ seen in the lead picture ].
Apart from a couple of small imperfections, the deck is in lovely condition.
The platter, platter mat and arm are excellent.
The head shell is not a Pioneer one but an aluminium, SME style, replacement and is brand new with a generic cartridge that includes a stylus, also in excellent condition.
There is not a lid but I include a full copy of the user and service manuals and a spare spindle-well ballbearing.
I do offer a return service if my description doesn’t fit the item but I do detail any fault as honestly as I am able not wishing to disappoint a buyer.
The platter, belt, head shell and mat will be packed separately and the transit screws will be secured.
The deck will be packed in a good strong box and dispatched, fully insured, with UPS and will require a signature on delivery.
