A somewhat Rare Pioneer PL-12AC. The story is that this model pre-dated the ubiquitious Pioneer PL 12D/112D models, but from personal observation and comments from learned audiophiles is definitely of a higher specification and better built and with significant but easily observable differences – the arm is J-shaped unit similar to the more upmarket Pioneer PL-55X, PL A45, etc and an under the hood inspection.Condition is simply superb. Though Classic Vintage, the unit carries only the finest of marks from normal usage. The Lid is sparkingly clear. Tonearm and all shiny bits are like new. Plinth, platter, rubber mat, etc just about perfect.Sound is brilliant. Aided by the superb SHURE M-75 Cartridge, possibly the best all round, quality, value for money Cartridge, ….and a near perfect match for this Turntable detail sound is Rich, Detailed and Brilliantly Clear.
