This is a rather wonderful amp that I purchased as a student in 1994 in the January sales. I treated myself to this amp with a pair of Mission 760i SE speakers, a Marantz CD52 mkII player, and an AIWA tape deck (remember those?). I also used the amp and speaker combo for my TV output. It has never let me down.
The ONLY reason I am selling these is because I have treated myself to a Sonos system. That should probably tell you all you need to know about the quality and build of these HiFi separates. OK, so there is no remote, and that can be a bit of a nuisance, but really? Even at half-volume, it is more than adequate for movies, for concerts (esp Last Night of the Proms).
As you will see in the photos, there are 6 inputs. Yes, it can take two tape / DAT inputs, and that is now a bit date. However, you don’t have to stick to that, look on each as an input source, forget the label. In truth, I never used up all 6 (never had a record player / phono).
Because it is bi-wired and bi-amped, you can hook it up to similar bi-wired speakers (e.g. the Mission 760i SE that I’m also selling) or you could have High and Low channels, or hook up a sub-woofer too.
