Pickering XV-15 / 625 Phono Cartridge – new silver lead wires and stylus
Beautiful looking set-up here. Just takes one back in the day. High-end Pickering, audiophile level.
There remains substantial interest in this model and is now a classic and an audiophile choice. Known as a Stereo Flux Valve cartridge it is designed to address excesses in static/magnetization in the cartridge.
The stylus was made by EMPIRE in the U.S. and is new old stock adn high quality. Needle is an elliptical diamond.
The lead wires are new and made of silver – better conductivity.
The 625 tracks very well and sounds clear and clean. Very reliable cartridge with wide frequency response.
