Using the system:
Install the outdoor unit of this kit at any door! Simply place the indoor unit at a convienient location, wherever it is most convenient (can be wall mounted – supplied with bracket). Visitors can then press the button on the outdoor unit, which rings the indoor unit like any normal phone. Once picked up, the two units act as an intercom, allowing visitors to be spoken to from the phone, via the outdoor unit’s speaker and microphone. The indoor unit works with the supplied power adapter and powers the outdoor unit too. There is also a key button on the indoor unit (as seen on the picture) which can be wired into almost any door entry system.This kit can quickly and easily give you an effective home security mechanism or save you time and energy in answering the door to unwanted visitors, perfect for apartments or the elderly. If you wish to use an exiting bell in your house, the system will still operate by just picking up the handset on your indoor unit (the button does not need to be pressed).It is recommended to use a 2 core speaker cable (0.75mm² area recommended) that is to be used for the intercom function. You can also use the key function too, by running another 2 core cable from the indoor unit to the door entry system. The indoor unit outputs a small voltage (12-24V) across the the 2 core cable, if your current door entry system does not work in this way, a low voltage relay would need to be used to create a 'switch like' function.
