ORIGINAL 1967 BUSH RP50 VINTAGE RECORD PLAYER – FULLY SERVICED / WORKING

This is an original 1967 BUSH RP50 record player that has been fully serviced and is offered in full working order and very good condition for its age.
This model has a two stage valve amplifier, meaning plenty of volume compared to the cheaper single stage record players. It also has separate treble and bass controls for better sound reproduction. The amplifier has been fully checked with parts replaced as necessary and is now all in perfect sounding order.
The record deck is a B.S.R. 4 speed, with automatic size detection and of course, the 16, 33, 45 and 78 rpm speeds. It has been fully serviced, lubricated and adjusted for correct operation. Up to six records can be stacked on the autochanger or records can be played manually / individually.
It has a brand new cartridge which is suitable for new vinyl as well as original. It also has a new stylus and a separate stylus can be obtained on eBay if you want to play the older shellac type 78s.
Cosmetically, it has been fully cleaned and is in very good original condition. The perfectionist should note some minor wear to the casing after 50 years and the rubber mat, whilst still pliable has some slight yellowing to it which does not affect operation. Some of the printed lettering has rubbed off the start / stop lever on the deck though I am being pernickety now given its age!
Overall this is a recommended choice, with better sound that you will get from many of the single stage amplifier Dansette models, some of which when fully restored now command in excess of 300 on eBay. If you want a vintage record player that works perfectly, sounds above ‘the norm’ for this era and looks good as well then this must be worthy of your consideration.
It has a fully earthed mains lead and a correctly fused mains plug and will come with an information pack featuring a period Bush advertisement, printed operating instructions, information on stylus replacement and a free record to add to your collection. A demonstration video will also be sent to the buyer.
