Onkyo TX-NR1008 7.2 Channel 230 Watt Receiver. Condition is for parts or not working.
I purchased this AV receiver new 10 years ago. Although the LCD display still operates and the various inputs can be selected no sound is output to my speakers. All other functions, including HDMI input and video switching work perfectly, its just the amplifier section that does not work.Although I have approached the service agents recommended on the Onkyo website, one will not take it as it is over 5 years old and the others have very poor customer feedback ratings. I am consequently purchasing a new AV receiver.
This receiver was a high end model in its day and hopefully can be repaired although I have no idea what is involved in doing this. My stepson, who works for Home Control in Edinburgh, did a factory reset on the amp without restoring sound. Internally produced test tones also did not work. On removing the casing there is no obvious damage visible.
It is packaged in its original box complete with an instruction manual, indoor FM antenna, power chord, speaker set up microphone and remote control. I will pay for 2 day DPD delivery to the successful bidder.
