This listing is for a rebuilt par of speakers, not just the servicing of. We have several pairs of 57s in process at the moment along with our vision of the ultimate 57, which will include a version of the our ESL63 professional grill adapted to fit the 63 with new side cheeks….so stay tuned for that!
To launch our products this pair will also come complete with a ‘FREE’ pair of our external widgets, which can be attached to the rear of the speaker as shown in the photos. Our ultimate versions of the 63s will provide this inboard.
We take a standard Quad ESL57 and have undertaken the following: –
RefurbishmentStrip the speaker down to its component partsRefinish/paint the wooden frameRebuild the power supply unit with our improved rectifier boardRebuilding of the audio transformer equalisation section with new improved componentsRespray audio transformer
Rebuilding of the Bass panels with improved materialsSupply and fitting of our new OTEC2 treble panelsSupply and fitting of our new clamp boards
Refurbishment (to as good as possible) of the original front grills *Fitting of our fully refurbished rear grills (stripped and powder coated black) with new edging around holes & new damping materialRefurbishment (to as good as possible) of the original wooden side cheeks *** The front grills of the ESL57 are made form aluminium which can cause issues if the material has been stretched by a deep impact/dent. Therefor it can be difficult to return the grills to a ‘perfect condition’ but we take out time to do the best we can for them. Generally grill colours can be what you want but our standard colours are black or gold/copper. Other colours may incur additional costs. (This pair supplied with black grills that are in excellent condition)
** Generally our wooden side cheeks are finished to a medium colour wooden finish where possible but we can also finish is sprayed colours such as black, metal silver (finished with hard lacquer), metallic gold (finished with hard lacquer). Other colours may incur additional costs. (This pair supplied with black side cheeks as pictured)
All of our fully refurbished speakers carry our 2 year RTB warranty, Rebuilds of customer speakers carry our 1 year RTB warranty on replaced components/panels only. If treble panels are replaced on speakers without clamp boards we will insist on these vital items being added to the order.
UK Delivery is included by us using our local courier within 60m miles of CV2 5DB, for other locations please request a quotation prior to ordering. Our despatch time of 5 working days is worst case on completed speakers as we ensure a final soak test before collection or delivery.
