DescriptionStunning condition Naim CD3.5 (serial no 144309). There’s not a mark onit and its in absolutely perfect working order. I’ve owned the CD player foraround 20 years. For me condition is equally as important as sound quality andin my opinion there are rarely any for sale that are as good as this. Also included is a din to phono adapter that allows this cd player to be used with other brands of amplifier, not just Naim. I’ve decided to sell as I have upgraded my entire system and no longerhave a need for the Naim CD3.5. Great quality sound as expected from Naim- typical pace rhythm andtiming for which they are noted, weighty but subtly detailed presentation,which makes music of all genres very convincing. Full width Olive seriescomponent. Excellent version of the entry level Olive series CD3 with thebrilliant Philips TD1305 DAC (Digital Audio Converter) used in many high enddesigns. Transport is the reliable Philips CDM 12.5. decoupledwith the swing opening drawer used in all Naim front loaders. Most important stepup from the CD3 is the addition of an input for an external power supply- suchas a Hi Cap which substantially improves weight and imaging. I also have for sale in my other listing my Naim HI Cap that was used topower the CD player. The Hi Cap really does take the sound of the CD3.5 toanother level with more definition and a cleaner, tighter presentation. Pleaselook at my other listing for more information. The link plug is supplied so the CD 3.5 can be used without an externalpower supply. Audio output is 5 pin 180 degree DIN socket for straightconnection to Naim preamplifiers and integrated/power amps, although I will supply a DIN to phono adaptor so youcan use it with a Phono lead to a non-Naim amp.
