NAD 613 Cassette DeckThis is a lovely deck purchased mainly as I have anumber of tapes that I recorded back in the mid 80s/early 90s and wanted to make use of its excellent Play Trim feature to add some clarity and openness to thepresentation.I actually prefer it to the similar adjustment employed on some Yamaha machines which seems to boost the midrange ratherthan just opening up the treble. To me the NAD just sounds more natural.Ive rarely used the 613 for making recordings but It does put in a pretty decent performance on both Chrome and Ferric tapes, aided by the finebias control which enables one to tune the high frequency response toaccommodate a huge range of tape formulations. As you can see from the pictures its in very good conditionconsidering its age (late 90s) with just a few blemishes here and there on themetal casework. The facia, however is near pristine, the level meters are clear and bright and the heads, capstan and pinch roller appear to be in fine order.SpecificationsType:2-head, single compact cassette deckTrackSystem: 4-track, 2-channel stereoTapeSpeed: 4.8 cm/sHeads:1 x record/playback, 1 x eraseMotor:1 x DC servo, 1 x DCTapeType: type I, CrO2, MetalNoiseReduction: B, C, HX ProFrequencyResponse: 20Hz to 19kHz (Metal tape)Signalto Noise Ratio: 78dB (dolby C)Wow andFlutter: 0.07%Input:80mV (line)Output:0.5V (line)Dimensions:435 x 125 x 290mmWeight:5kgYear: 1997
