The original, and coolest, version of this classic add-on. Placed in-line between a source, such as a CD player, and pre-amp or amplifier, it acts as a buffer. Valve based, it simplifies the load the amp and cables present to the source.You will need an extra cable, so I am including a Musical Fidelity half metre phono pair, making installation a doddle. The manufacturers user guide ia also included, as is the original power supply. I dont need the X10D any more as I have replaced my CD player with a combined CDP and pre-amp. The effect when I used the X10-D with my old (Arcam) CDP was a softer, slightly warmer sound, probably the effect of the valves. Note that, though its sometimes described as a pre-amp, it neither amplifies nor switches between sources. Its a zero gain class A valve amplifier.I also have a X-ACT digital to analogue converter which I plan to offer on eBay if there is interest.Re delivery, I favour Royal Mail as I am still lucky enough to have a post office I can walk to, rather than leaving at a pickup point.
