MORDAUNT SHORT MS302 SPEAKERS + BOX + ORIGINAL PACKAGING. SUPERBSOUND. PHOTOSThese diminutive speakers are really well constructed and just tolook at, are beautiful. Unlike the competition, MS very properly designed themas miniature box speakers, rather than shaped like bulbs, spheres or eggs, etc.They look the business and perform exceptionally well. We used them asunobtrusive units on heavy laboratory stands, and so they looked industrial andelegant at the same time. They are attractive enough to be well displayed.Sonically, they will surprise. We used our set with the bottom end supplementedby a Yamaha YST-FSW100 subwoofer via a vintage Marantz amplifier connected to aMarantz CD63 SE player and Marantz Audio Streamer, also often a Technics SL1210 turntable. Every piece inthis system at one time was a winner in its category. Working together withthese tiny speakers, the entire system sounded fabulous. Upper frequencies werejust right, mid-range was good, and the Yamaha did duty ‘carrying the heavy stuff’.This will make a splendid addition to any sound system, especially where spaceis at a premium. They in any event look so cute that they often were a talkingpoint here.
