This is a sale for the a pair of bookshelf mount Mordaunt-Short Alumni 2 Piano Wallmount Black Speakers. I bought them 4-5 years ago or so and I remember paying upto 129 or so but cannot remember if that was for a single or a pair of speakers. I think the wallmount kits were 10 or so but are simple to remove to convert back to bookshelf use.
This is a no-reserve auction. A single bid will secure the purchase once the starting price is met.
This auction is for a PAIR (2) wallmount speakers – though bookshelf models are available in my other auction which I am listing in a separate auction.
The speakers are approx 4-5 years old but have not been used for the last 2 years or so due to redecorating work and are now superfluous – they weren’t used much before that either – just for watching films when connected to an Onkyo receiver when I experimented with an 11.2 speaker setup.
The speakers had an excellent (to my ears) sound. There are plenty of reviews around ion google available to read for more details. Your ears might hear things differently but I do not believe so.
The speakers stand 20cm tall with a top profile of 10cm x 15cm or so and weigh 1.7kg each. They are in almost perfect condition and come from a child/pet/smoke free home. The front mesh grill is removable for those who like to see the domes of the drivers but they have always been fitted/installed to keep the drivers in perfect condition. They were wallmount from the start but there might be a few minor scratches or swirls in the piano black cases – but from the pics you can see lots of reflections too. One of the speakers is still on the wall and a little difficult to get to but it gives you the idea.
The speakers are available for self collection or reasonably local delivery due to their size/weight – I will can also post well packed. They will come with the speaker only – no box/manual etc. There will be no speaker cable included since lengths and type can/will vary so much.

Goods will be available for free collection ONLY once funds fully clear. This will be from central Manchester weekday-evenings/weekends or I can deliver to ground/first floor locations within 50 miles of central Manchester for 10 (select 3-5 day courier for delivery rather than postage). I will give a 50% reduction in delivery costs for multiple purchases – let me know so I can send the invoice. I can deliver slightly further away for a little more but only up to 75 miles or so (please ask before bidding and I will amend the cost on the invoice) thus avoiding any courier delays/problems/damage at each end.
If I have several deliveries to schedule it might be that I need to take a day or two or for a weekend before I can complete delivery.
