Free UK PostageDescription & Images Have Been Taken From Manufacturers WebsiteThe circuitry of the Monrio MC-207/ II remains essentially unchanged, relying now on a single big printed circuit board capable of receiving all the necessary updates in order to keep the Amplifier updated with current market demands. The main board carries the output stage and the Power Supply whilst the sub-board carries the low-level audio stage. The power transistors used in the output stage are designed for audio application, with good dependence of fT on current and good HF characteristic. By connecting these devices in a quasi-complementary (all transistors used are of NPN type) configuration, the MC-207 delivers a high-quality power output capabilities rated for 140 watts into 8 ohms.
This arrangement of high-current power transistors allowing the Amplifier to drive even very low impedance loads. The MC 207 / II features one 500 VA power transformers and four large electrolytic capacitors rated for 10.000 uF each.
This assures ample reserves also for reproduction of demanding bass passages. The MC-207 / II offers four line high-level inputs, a dedicated unity gain A/V Direct input for use with a AV Processor in a Home Cinema system as a stereo Amplifier for the front channels or surround channels and tape output loop. It also features a pre-out that allows direct connection of a Sub Woofer or the possibility of using a stereo amp for any additional bi-amp connections.
A USB port interface based on XMOS chip allow the network streaming of DSD DoP files upto192Khz/24bit. With the complete digital circuit installed the MC-207 becomes a ‘world-class’ DAC with the connectivity and features to support the latest digital music formats. A Cirrus CS4398 DAC configured for high current output performs the digital to analog signal conversion for uncompromised reproduction of digital music.
The MC-207 features the latest aptX HD audio technology, which partners with Bluetooth so it is possible to stream high definition music wirelessly from compatible devices with sound that is indistinguishable from a wired connection!
It also features a pre-out that allows direct connection of a Sub Woofer or the possibility of using a stereo Amplifier for any additional bi-amp connections. For source selection, every possible effort has been made to isolate the signal from the control circuit. All switching is performed by logic-controlled relays arranged in an optimised layout. The hermetically sealed relays are high-quality types developed specifically for demanding communication applications. The contacts are gold overlay silver palladium, high reliability-bifurcated for minimum contact resistance and outstanding long-term reliability. The remote control which is included, allows input selection and volume control.
