Have you ever hankered after a GyroDec? Well here is yourchance to own one in excellent condition, having been only lightly used in asmoke-free household.The HighlightsThe components were all bought new by me. The basic deck andplinth is of completely original Michell manufacture. The package comprises: Michell GyroDec turntable, base and lid Michell HR Never-Connected Power Supply Audiomods Series Five tonearm Benz Micro Glider SL moving coil cartridge.As such, this is a completely original, un-messed-about-withGyroDec, with the addition of the upgraded HR power supply and fitted with anon-Michell arm (which is substantially better than the original Michell TecnoArmA, which it replaced). The Glider SL is very communicative and has abeautifully even tonality and I have never wanted to replace it.The whole package is in near-mint condition; even the perspexof the lid has no visible scratches. It has been used up to the present (i.e.never put away in storage). All original packing, tools and documentation isincluded. This is an enthusiasts turntable please do not consider buying itif you are unfamiliar with setting up and looking after such a precisioninstrument.The DetailsFurther details about the components, including the age andcurrent/last RRP in brackets: GyroDec includes the Michell record clamp andMichell Arm Plate De-coupling kit upgrade. (This breaks the metal-to-metalcontact between the arm plate and the chassis. A braided link replaces the pathfor losing static electricity.) (2,396; 2004). HR PSU. (533; 2005). Audiomods Series Five Tonearm. If you are not familiarwith this tonearm, it is a highly-evolved Rega casting with practically everythingother than the casting improved and replaced by Audiomods. This model includesVTA adjustment. Note it is NOT the micrometer-adjustment model which may bealtered whilst playing a record. The leads are terminated in RCA phono EichmannBullet Plugs. Included are the woodenpacking case and all spares etc. which the arm came with. (695 when I boughtit. 595 as the now re-named Classic III; 2018). Benz Micro Glider SL MC cartridge. The Lstands for Low Output (0.4mV) for which you will need a suitable phono stage.The cartridge was professionally cleaned and the stylus inspected in late 2018by Expert Stylus and was said to have one third of its useful life left andhence no need for a re-tip at this stage. (895; 2011).The total price of the deck at todays prices is 4,419.CollectionI am not willing to post this deck and so it is collectiononly. I can partially dis-assemble the deck to make sure that the deck is notdamaged in transit. I would be willing to deliver the deck by car up to 100miles radius of Bradford on Avon for 30 or pro rata of. If you are furtheraway than this, I would consider a half-way meet at a motorway service station,or similar. You will be responsible for re-assembling and adjusting thedeck at your end.
