Mega Rare Vintage Sansui 500l Audiophile Aplifier With Phonostage. Firstly this amplifier is working but I am selling as a repair project just due to the fact it is a very old amplifier and will need a good service before use. It is renowned as one of the best vintage turntable Amps due to its very high quality phono stage and one of the best sansui amps made. It also has aux inputs for tape and you could use an ipod etc in the other aux input. Also has tape monitor inputs. Was part of my grandads hifi system which has been stored in a dry loft for many years. Condition is great for age with no dents or obvious damage. The volume knob is a bit faded and there is one fader knob missing which I am sure would be easy to replace. I have tested the amp with my very large floorstanding speakers and my ipod through the aux input. The sound is very very nice and smooth however the volume pots are a bit scratchy sounding and probably need a good clean with contact cleaner and the left channel is quieter than the right and slightly distorted. The amp appears to work on all settings and all switches seem to work fine but that’s as far as I’ve tested it. I have however left it switched on for a few hours just to make sure it did not overheat etc.. And all was fine. I will post very well packed for protection. Any questions please ask. I’ve only seen one of theese for sale in the last 6 months and it sold for 795.00 so I’m starting bidding at a very low 200.and please no offers below that as I would rather get it serviced and keep it myself for any less. Once again sold as seen as spares or repair no refunds or returns.
